Smart Energy Consumption Management Platform for Energy Stations
Background
The customer is a well-known domestic provider of energy-saving and environmentally-friendly products and solutions, including those in the fields of low-temperature refrigeration, central air conditioning, environmental protection heating, energy equipment, precision casting, smart services, and hydrogen energy equipment.
The Challenge
The customer aims to provide a complete energy management platform for equipment users such as factories, substations, and energy stations, to include a range of functions (e.g. automatic meter reading, energy consumption statistics reports, and electricity bill settlement). This is intended to enhance the company's software capabilities and expand its business opportunities. However, attempts using traditional SCADA systems such as eForceCon and WinCC failed to meet requirements because of factors including outdated interfaces, high licensing, development and deployment costs, slow project cycles, problems with maintenance for custom projects, and incomplete data statistics and reporting functions. This caused the company to seek a new supplier.
The Solution
Through the FMSCADA chart design function, the customer can provide automatic meter reading, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly energy consumption reports, analysis of same-period and yearly changes, energy consumption ranking, and responses to a range of energy consumption queries.
Providing a convenient and comprehensive solution for energy consumption statistics helps users gain a deeper understanding of their energy consumption to improve management and optimization. Additionally, utilizing the Python script function of FMSCADA, the company established flexible valuation mode setting and automatic calculation of electricity bills, providing users with a comprehensive energy management solution, and delivering more convenient and efficient energy consumption statistics.
FMSCADA also supports customizable components, such as statistics for energy consumption per ton and cost per ton, meeting the personalized needs of customers.
